Reviewed Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup

Nov 17, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

This was fast, flavorful, and delicious. I made this tonight and it was just what I needed to help fight a cold. I halved the recipe and it came out just right. I tasted the broth as I added in the lemon juice and zest because I was worried about it being too much lemon and, this way, I got it just right. Definitely add the orzo bowl by bowl instead...

This was a very yummy, week-night meal. The prep took me way longer than 5 minutes though (cutting potatoes, chopping garlic, chopping parsley, slicing the onion, juicing the lemon, etc. probably took about 15 minutes). I did cut down on the onions, but they were so delicious when cooked that I almost wished I hadn't. Smoked paprika was new for m"

Definitely make this if you're in the mood for some comfort"

This is a great, hearty dish. I did find it a bit heavy because of the cream, so I don't make it that often, but when I do, everyone loves it. This is a great variation on your average chicken or pasta dinner. "

Simple to make and tastes awesome. I'm not a huge goat cheese fan, but kept it in because the crowd I was serving likes it and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't overpowering. The noodle "cooking" method worked perfectly. I will definitely make this again."

I'm not quite sure what happened, but this did not taste good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I tempered the egg and everything looked fine, but when it was done cooking, it had a grainy texture and all I tasted was the egg. We did double the recipe, and perhaps this threw everything off, but I much prefer Alton's Stove-top macaroni and"
