Reviewed roasted tomato soup

Sep 25, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I love this soup--I have tried a number of other tomato soup recipes from The Food Network, and this one is the best!

Reviewed pumpkin bread

Sep 10, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I love this bread. It is dense but delicious. I agree with another reviewer about the baking time. Mine baked for 1 hour 35 minutes, rested for 15 minutes and cooled on a rack. It was perfect. Next time I will omit the pumpkin seeds---I think I will like it even better without them.

Love these tarts! I made them for a ladies' dinner, several of whom are vegetarians, and they were a big hit!

I love this and make it often. I don't understand the comment about it not setting up properly. Delicious. I especially love the toasted almonds on top.

Reviewed hard-boiled eggs

Let the eggs sit for 15 minutes with the cover on. If eggs stick to the shell they are very fresh. Try using older eggs. There is a You Tube video showing how to remove the eggs by blowing them out. It's kind of freaky.

This is great, however, you never rinse the pasta!

Love it! To Quiltervevcooks---there is something wrong with your printer and/or ink supply in the cartridge. Also, all the recipes on Food Network now print all kinds of useless information in them (to Strauss...) that I find annoying as well. If it was eliminated there would be more printer friendly.

Reviewed fiesta beans

Feb 26, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Love these beans. The printer icon is to the left of the recipe.

Reviewed rosemary white bean soup

In answer to adriannegershberg, yes you could leave it chunky if you like that texture, or try pureeing half of the mixture. This bean soup is delicious. I have made it several times.

Reviewed Squash Soup

Sep 12, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have tried several butternut squash soup recipes, including Anne Burrell's, (which was delicious) but this one is the BEST! Wow, who would expect minced ginger and honey? I think you should look no further if you want a great butternut squash soup. I used my Vita Mix to puree the mixture. Divine!"

Reviewed Spaghetti Sauce

Sep 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Mario Batali would probably cringe over tossing the pasta with olive oil. The sauce adheres to the pasta because it's starchy. If you put oil on it that changes the texture of the dish. "

I love these! They taste like the ones at a Greek restaurant in Detroit that closed years ago, and they were delicious! Thanks soccerdoc for the lemon sauce recipe. That's how they served them at New Hellas Cafe!"

I love a softer biscotti, so I did not bake them again. They turned out soft and delicious. I also used 1/4 cup of sliced almonds and 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios. Lovely. This is delicious! I followed another reviewer's advice, and I roasted the poblanos, garlic, green peppers, onions and hot peppers (I used Thai "bird" peppers) and then followed the recipe. It was pretty spicy, since bird peppers are hot! It was just perfect. Loved the flavors, and it tasted great with rice."
