Reviewed Gulf Shrimp Jambalaya

Jan 7, 2014 on

I Am not a fan of jambalaya but made this for my husband and ended up going back for seconds. His only criticism was that it was a little dry. I made it a 2nd time and added an extra 14 oz can of tomatoes and it was better. Definitely worth the work of using fresh shrimp!

I have been making cheesecakes for almost 30 years and this is the best I have made! I listened to other reviewers and kept the oven at 425, used the water bath and let it cool for an hour in the oven before refrigerating. Will make it again this weekend!"

This dish was way more work than it was worth. Too much butter in the sauce, definitely would use less butter. The flavor just wasn't there in this dish."

I doubled this recipe for a big brunch crowd and baked it in 2 casserole dishes. It was the hit of the brunch for those didn't want anything sweet and the men loved it because of the Italian sausage. Definitely will not throw this recipe away, like so many others.""
