Reviewed Tomato Crostini with Whipped Feta

Jul 2, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

FABULOUS! I watched Ina make this for Jeffrey and when he took a bite, he made it look so good, I just had to try it. I used apple cider vinegar because that is what I had and by mistake I cut back by 1/2 the amount of olive oil in the whipped feta. It was perfect. We ate it for lunch and supper! Be generous with the pine nuts for extra crunch a"

I needed to use up some crab cakes purchased at my local food coop. I thought they may have lost some of their flavor so I thought a romoulade would wake them up. I agree with all of the other comments. Lots of ingredients, but so easy to make. So many flavors, layer after layer, not too spicy, not too rich - simply perfect! I am planning to "

I have made Ina's Cheddar Corn Chowder many times. My husband gives this recipe 5 stars too! I made some changes: I used four frozen 8oz lobster tails because I couldn't cook a live lobster. I used skim milk and half and half instead of whole milk and heavy cream and home frozen sweet corn off the cob. I made it the day before and added the la"

SIMPLY FABULOUS! If you like this recipe you must try Ina's pear and apple crisp recipe.
When making this I didn't have raspberries so I used blueberries. I also didn't have an orange so I used Grand Marnier. "

Fabulous! I have replicated Ina's dessert tray pictured in the "barefoot contessa cookbook" including this cake. Everyone wants the recipe. I poke holes in the top of the cake with a toothpick and use a pastry brush to brush on the lemon syrup so it soaks in better and not a drop goes to waste! "

Fabulous! I will NEVER make plain apple crisp again. The pears add a "depth of flavor" as Ina would say! I served this recipe to two different audiences and everyone said the same thing: "will never make plain apple crisp again." Delicious!
I received a box of fruit for the holidays and didn't want anything to go to waste. I am very...

Fabulous! Don't let the other reviews scare you. I followed the advice of others and divided the recipe between two 9*13 cake pans. No oven disaster, the crust was just the right thickness. I really can't imagine making them in a half-sheet pan. "

Made this for New Year's Eve dinner. Looked festve and impressive and was surprisingly light. My guests said it was their favorite dessert of everything I have ever made and I am a "famous" pie baker. I used my own pie crust recipe in a 10 inch square tart pan. Next time I will make my crust thicker to accomodate the custard and cranberries softening...
