I made the full recipe the first time and it was wonderful! Since there was so much of it, however, I now make a half-batch. The only changes I have made are the amount of beans (we use a whole cup for half recipe) and more kale. We don't cook the kale as long (we add kale during the last 4 minutes of cooking). This is the first time my husband & I have ever had coq au vin, let alone tried to make it, and it was absolutely outstanding!
