My Activity

Reviewed Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp

"This was good. I liked the hint of lemon and orange. However, the spice was too much for my liking. Icecream neutralized it a little but without icecream, the nutmeg and cinnamon totally overtook the palate. I'll make again but I'll use much less of the spice."

Reviewed Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

"I think this recipe is perfect, as is. I made a double batch and it turned out super cheesy and delicious. Many reviewers recommend doubling the white sauce. I'm quite glad that I didn't. I used a glass 9x13 cassarole and it took just over an hour and a half to bake. (I had to cover with foil about an hour in.)"

Reviewed Mr. John's Meat-Stuffed Bell Peppers

"This was NOT a knock your socks off recipe. It's a good base recipe but it lacks a depth of flavor. I'll definitely play around with this one in the future."

Reviewed New Orleans Style Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

"This was great! I didn't have time to make the sauce, but the pudding itself was fantastic. I will definitely base variations off of this recipe from now on. (Peaches would be a nice addition.)""

Reviewed Cinnamon-Citrus Glazed Ham

"This was delicious and absolutely picture worthy. I was looking forward to leftover ham for breakfast but unfortunately there wasn't any.""

Reviewed Easy Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

"This was delicious. I used 5 huge russet potatoes and a summer squash, doubled the rest of the ingredients and added S & P. The squash tasted amazing and my kids barely noticed that there was a vegetable buried in there.""

Reviewed Black Bean Hummus

"Super easy and quite good! I didn't have white wine vinegar, so I substituted red wine vinegar instead. I've never tried hummus before, this was a good place to start. My husband, 2 year old, and I gobbled it down with tortilla chips. ""

Reviewed Fried Chicken Wings with Emeril's Essence

"These were good. The flavor didn't come through as I had expected it to. This could be because I omitted the hot sauce. Next time I'll add more essence to the flour mixture. ""
