My Activity

Reviewed Banana Bread

"This was a simple and fantastic recipe. You could definitely branch out from here but the recipe as stated was awesome.

As a note, I actually baked in 3 small bread pans and only had to bake for 40 minutes. This is great if you want to give the banana breads for treat to family, friends or coworkers."

Reviewed Cornbread Stuffing

"This is a great recipe... we actually used this one combined with Paula Dean's cornbread recipe and two other ones. Then we went the sage and thyme route instead of the parsley and cilantro. And we used both corn bread and dried Italian bread. Also, we added oyster mushrooms. Ok, so we deviated "slightly" from the recipe. I still love you Iron Chef Michael Symon!

Reviewed Cranberry, Apple and Ginger Chutney

"This gets 3 stars because of the ridiculous amount of apple cider vinegar it says to use. I made the recipe as stated before I read the reviews about cutting the amount of vinegar. Way too bitter! Other then that, the recipe has potential.

Reviewed Golden Potato and Cauliflower Gratin

"I found that this recipe needed a lot of modification to really bring out the potential in the dish. First we used a mandolin to cut the potatoes. We sliced them very thin and it help cut down the cooking time. Also, we had difficulty finding cream fraiche so instead we used goat cheese to give the dish some great flavor. We then topped it with grated parmesan and ramano cheese.

Reviewed Crostini with Sun-Dried Tomato Jam

"This recipe was a big hit at thanksgiving dinner. All that I would say is that you should not cook it too long because the sun dried tomatoes will loose their bright red color. I would definitely make again. Also, I added a little HONEY to cut some of the acidity of the tomatoes. I think this rounded out the flavor a lot.
