Reviewed bourbon-laced tipsy chicken with peaches

Aug 10, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I had high hopes for this dish, but they were not satisfied. The flavors did not meld/blend. It did not taste bad, but it was like eating chicken with onions and peaches as side dishes. I bet it would be good to use pork chops, seasoned with a pork rub without onions. Bake and then add peaches, bourbon, nutmeg and a little brown sugar before finishing...

Feb 28, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I have been making this for years for special occasions. I go heavy on the mashed potato layer and light on the sliced potato layer. I go easy on the amount of butter ( cup instead of cup). I do not add any additional salt/pepper/Paula's House seasoning since I season the mashed potatoes, and the cheese and bacon add plenty of salt flavor....

Fabulous!!! I can't stop eating them long enough for them to cool. I used a heaping tablespoon each of ginger and lemon zest and baked at 365 for 10 minutes, using a 1-1/4" cookie scoop (48 cookies). These are great as is, but I will try some of the suggestions and experiment a little to make them PERFECT!!!

Jun 5, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The first time I prepared this I would have rated it 3 or 4 stars. The second time I made a couple of simple changes that brought it to 5-star status. First, I used fire-roasted tomatoes; second, I used only about 3/16 of a cup of chili powder; finally, I added about 1 teaspoon McCormick/Schilling chili seasoning from the packet (1/4 teaspoon at"

Let me begin by saying that I did not do the entire recipe. I used the brine recipe, buttered the skin, and put the orange, onion, celery, carrot and bay leaves inside the turkey. From there I used a Reynolds turkey bag since clean-up is so much easier. I used this recipe in November and yesterday. It's produced the best turkey I've ever roast"

Yummy! I committed a cook's top ten booboo. I did not get my ingredients out and ready before beginning the mixing. I thought I had plenty of sour cream, but when I got it out of the refrigerator, I had only about half a cup. I used a 5+ ounce carton of nonfat blueberry Greek yogurt for the remainder. It turned out fine. Next time I will make"

Quick, easy, delicious, nutritious - what more could you ask for? The toasted pecans make it special. I used pre-shredded carrots, light mayo, and additional cranberries. I also used less dressing as is my usual practice."

Super easy and delish! Being able to make them as you need them makes them even better. I used my cookie scoop to measure them for the mini-muffin pan which made it even easier and less messy. I took these to a luncheon to serve with soup and salads, and they got raves. "

So good, so easy. and SO pretty!!! I used sugar snap peas since I did not have edamame. I also threw in a couple of tablespoons of sunflower seeds with the almonds. The flavor blend with the dressing was outstanding. And of course, anything tastes better with BACON!!! I do,. however, disagree with a previous reviewer - I felt the salad was mu"

This is delicious and easy to prep. I cut the recipe in half and still had plenty for 4. The dressing seems to be getting a lot of attention in the comments. I thought it was a little limey UNTIL I mixed it with the salad. It was terrific (though I may have added more hot sauce than the recipe called for. I will make this again and again!!! "

Wow! This is so unique. If you are like me, you may have trouble chunking mangos. Mine frequently turn out as tiny little mushy "chunks." No Problem! The salad is very forgiving. The jicama provides crunch, the corn consistency, the mango flavor. It's all good, actually great!"

I made this for a large gathering last night along with a more traditional mac and cheese. Both disappeared. That makes a statement all by itself. It's easy to make as long as you plan ahead. "

I LOVE this as does my family! In my area, I cannot get frozen creamed corn, so unfortunately, I have to make my own. Despite the extra steps, it is well worth it. I have even altered the recipe for various reasons, and it's still delish. Adults seem to really like the cayenne pepper- kids, not so much. Unlike some others, I do NOT like sweet"

All three recipes are fabulous! Surprisingly, the star of the meal for my family was the rice. I agree with others that perhaps the pork should marinate a bit longer, since the lime taste was barely there. I put only half the garlic and half the ginger in the salsa as a precaution. I planned to add them to taste later, but it was so good I lef"

YUM!!! Instead of brioche, I used a local bakery's rosemary olive oil bread. Of course, the rosemary went wonderfully with the dressing ingredients. I also did not bake it as long or cover it at all. This is delicious as is but can be used as a base for other add-ins. I'll experiment each time I make it.

This was very bland. I did not use the onions because some of my family is not onion-friendly. However, I think onions would have dominated the taste.
