My Activity

Reviewed Brined and Roasted Turkey

"Let me begin by saying that I did not do the entire recipe. I used the brine recipe, buttered the skin, and put the orange, onion, celery, carrot and bay leaves inside the turkey. From there I used a Reynolds turkey bag since clean-up is so much easier. I used this recipe in November and yesterday. It's produced the best turkey I've ever roast"

Reviewed Blueberry Pancakes

"Yummy! I committed a cook's top ten booboo. I did not get my ingredients out and ready before beginning the mixing. I thought I had plenty of sour cream, but when I got it out of the refrigerator, I had only about half a cup. I used a 5+ ounce carton of nonfat blueberry Greek yogurt for the remainder. It turned out fine. Next time I will make"

Reviewed Carrot Cranberry Salad

"Quick, easy, delicious, nutritious - what more could you ask for? The toasted pecans make it special. I used pre-shredded carrots, light mayo, and additional cranberries. I also used less dressing as is my usual practice."

Reviewed Spoon Rolls

"Super easy and delish! Being able to make them as you need them makes them even better. I used my cookie scoop to measure them for the mini-muffin pan which made it even easier and less messy. I took these to a luncheon to serve with soup and salads, and they got raves. "

Reviewed Broccoli Salad

"So good, so easy. and SO pretty!!! I used sugar snap peas since I did not have edamame. I also threw in a couple of tablespoons of sunflower seeds with the almonds. Reviewed Southwestern Avocado and Black Bean Salad

"This is delicious and easy to prep. I cut the recipe in half and still had plenty for 4. The dressing seems to be getting a lot of attention in the comments. I thought it was a little limey UNTIL I mixed it with the salad. It was terrific (though I may have added more hot sauce than the recipe called for. I will make this again and again!!! "

Reviewed Roasted Corn, Jicama and Mango Salad

"Wow! This is so unique. If you are like me, you may have trouble chunking mangos. Mine frequently turn out as tiny little mushy "chunks." No Problem! The salad is very forgiving. The jicama provides crunch, the corn consistency, the mango flavor. It's all good, actually great!"
