Reviewed Good Eats Roast Turkey

I tried this recipe and was very disappointed. First of all the berries never dissolved, no matter how long you boil the brine. Secondly the grease splatters all over the oven at 500 degrees. The meat was not moist and the brine and arromecs (sp?) added VERY little flavot to the meat.

This sounds awesome but I want to make sure it tastes awesome too. I was thinking of applying the recipe to a roaster chicken before using it on a turkey, Thanksgiving Day. If I cut the recipe/times in half, can I use it for a chicken? Hopefully someone has tried it with a chicken.
