Welllllll... I used a generic Black Cherry drink in place of Dr. Pepper. I had a small pork roast, so I only used one can. I'm not a big fan of ultra spicy, so I omitted the adobo and sprinkled in a little "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning for a little kick.

WOW! I've always been nervous about making pickles because of the big water bath process, but this recipe doesn't require any complex processes.
I made quick pickles just a little while ago and am eating them now! YUM! They are nice and crunchy, got a good vinegar bite with a little sweetness.
Next time I might try half white vinegar...
