Reviewed cast iron skillet corn bread

Nov 18, 2014 on

This was probably the easiest and tastiest skillet cornbread I have ever made. It was pretty much perfect texture-wise (moist on the inside, browned beautifully on the outside) and it tasted amazing. I used medium ground cornmeal, and had to use the milk plus lemon juice combo instead of buttermilk. Ah-ma-zing.

Maybe we just don't love kale, but we didn't really enjoy these. The BBQ flavoring itself was pretty tasty, but I didn't enjoy the kale/flavor combo."

Really delish on the schnitzel sandwich, but just as good on the side. "

These are the PERFECT sandwich biscuits... crusty on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They held up to the sandwich components beautifully. "

We made the sandwich as written, and dang was it good. The biscuits were the perfect texture to hold up to all the components, while still being fluffy and delicious. It was rather labor intensive, so it's not one that I will add to the regular rotation, but if I get a hankering for schnitzel, this will be the recipe I use. "

This was our first time making sweet potatoes for breakfast, and they were delicious! The spices did a nice job of balancing the sweetness from the sweet potatoes. Thanks for the tasty recipe!"

So, I didn't exactly follow the measurements exactly (I used 3 large, 2 small potatoes, eyeballed the cream, and the sour cream, and then added chopped crispy bacon), so I cannot attest to the accuracy of the ingredients. I CAN tell you, however, that these were a huge hit with my family. They were creamy, cheesy, and just plain delish. And they c"

Mar 2, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

We made this tonight without the red cabbage and it was just outstanding. The dressing was one of the tastier Italian dressings I've ever made, and it really tied all the other salad components together into one delicious salad. I halved the recipe and my husband and I ate the entire thing ourselves. This one will get made again for sure. Maybe e...

Made the salsa with nectarines, plums, and strawberries as Kelsey did in the episode and it turned out delicious! I was worried that the added cinnamon would overpower the dish, and it did not. I also halved the salsa recipe, but made all the chips and it was the perfect amount. Yum!""
