PS... the Angel Food Cake and Tropical Fruit Compote was AMAZING and even my non-fruit lovers ate it! ANNE YOU ROCK!!!
Agree with some other postings, if you are not a fan of Anne's cooking then I'm not sure why you criticize her? If you tried the recipe and have comments, that is perfectly legit, but not to slam her cooking style because...

This had a GREAT flavor and I love the idea of using the crackers, but I had a hard time getting the breading to stick initially, then even more of it fell off as I was removing them from the rack to the platter. Any thoughts?
As for the salt, I rarely use the amount of salt any of the FN shows call for, but I have found that doing the seasoning...

I'm certain I didn't do something correctly.... either didn't whip the egg whites long enough or didn't incorporate them well enough... since my cake was VERY oddly shaped :(
The taste was outstanding, but my presentation was not. Couldn't find the Vin Santo at my grocery store and I do not believe the sweet sherry I chose was good enough....
