Was a big hit at the Saturday night football game!!!! Next time I make it I will not use the bacon grease and try butter or parchment paper. I think it would make the sweet coating on the nuts stand out more. I started to double the recipe but there is no need to...makes just enough with no left overs and your guest wanting to have the recipe!!"

What a great recipe!!!! I did not have the chorizo pork so I used a pound of pork sausage and a pack of chorizo (sold at Walmart). I drained off the oil from the meat before adding my olive oil. I added more garlic which I love. Added a few dashes of Louisiana hot sauce and a little bit of lemon jest and lemon juice. Would be great over noodl"

My family simply love these potatoes. I used bacon and fried it before mixing it with the rest of the stuff. I am making it again for Easter dinner but am planning on putting the stuffing into a 9x13 pan. I think it will travel well and it will be easier to serve.
