Reviewed smoky black bean bisque

3 hours ago on

This was VERY tasty! A bit on the spicy side for my 8 year old (she doesn't do spicy). I used one chipotle pepper and only half the adobo sauce. It did take longer than 40 minutes to reduce, but so worth it! Served it with cheesy polenta and sour cream. Will definitely make again but less spicy so my kid will eat it!

This was really good! I loved the black bean base, making it vegetarian. I added sliced black olives and diced avocado to the topping, since those are ingredients we put on our tacos in this house. Also mixed the sour cream with a finely diced chipotle in adobe with about 2 teaspoons of the adobe sauce instead of the hot since my 7 1/2 year old...

I've made this once before and am making it again tonight. The first time, found the dressing to be a little bit too sweet, so reducing the amount of agave. I'm using close to a whole head of cauliflower, since both hubby and my 7 year old daughter both love it. Very tasty dish!

Made this to go with grilled steak and asparagus last night. I make Greek salad all the time, but never thought to add orzo to it! It was very 7 year-old gobbled it up! The only thing I added was sliced kalamata olives (as I do with the Greek salad I make). The fresh dill really made the flavor pop! Will definitely make over and...

Have a child who is picky about eating veggies? (My 7 year-old prefers hers raw to cooked) Then make this dip and watch them devour them! My daughter especially loves green beans with this, so I always make sure I have it on hand in the fridge when steaming green beans. Lasts for quite a while in the fridge, too!

I made these last night for dinner...really tasty! I did change up a few things. I used serranos since I couldn't find Thai chilis and also added about 3/4 of a cup of panko, since the mixture seemed a bit wet. Before I added the serranos, I made 2 patties for my daughter (she's 7 and doesn't like spicy food). Since my hubby doesn't like fish...

This was pretty labor-intensive to make (lots of pots and pans and I have a really small kitchen), but was SO good! Followed the recipe completely. Not sure why my 7 year-old didn't like the squash part (considering that it's sweet) but ate the rest. Lots of leftovers...will definitely make again!

After other reviewers said they used non-stick cooking spray, I thought it best to use it as well. The only problem I ran into was when I started taking them out of the pans, the second one come apart (the top from the bottom) so I gave each one a little "spin" to make them easier to get out. These are to take to my daughter's school tomorrow for...
