Reviewed spaghetti squash with parsley and pecan pesto

6 days ago on

As my first attempt at making spaghetti squash in many years, I thought this turned out great. The squash cooked perfectly, and the pesto had great flavor. Only used the roasted garlic, no raw. The kids weren't impressed but, then again, they never are...especially where veggies are concerned. I still can't believe spaghetti squash is a "fake-out"...

This pie has great flavor but was EXTREMELY runny. I'll be trying it again with a different amount of tapioca or maybe a different thickener altogether."

I thought this recipe had great flavor and the meat was very tender. I did think the sauce was very greasy, though, because a lot of the fat rendered out into the sauce while it was in the oven. Maybe I needed to trim the ribs more...? Tonight I'm trying a version of this with chicken, using hard apple cider instead of wine and I'm going to shr"

I'm always in the market for a good quick bread recipe, and this one was great. Not too sweet, with a subtle orange flavor. It did take a little longer to cook than the recipe said -- closer to 60 minutes. This bread is very dense and moist. It did have a very thick crust on it -- maybe that's okay, or I may have incorporated too much flour wh"

My family loved this recipe -- and they are not big fans of casseroles, so that is high praise! I ended up using ground pork instead of beef, thanks to a little food-storage mishap, and I used Guinness for the beer. I was afraid the Guinness would be too strong, but it was great! I did think the recipe took much longer to prepare than advertise"

This quiche was simple and very tasty! I used store-bought pie crust and some leftover Dubliner cheese -- which is amazing by the way, if you've never tried it -- and it really turned out great, creamy and cheesy. My kids even liked it, and they would live on chicken nuggets and hot dogs if I let them!"

This was a great recipe! Very moist cupcakes. They didn't rise very much and my butter solidified into little chunks when I added the beer; maybe the beer should have been warm...? I think next time I will only soften the butter instead of melting it and cream it with the sugar before adding the other wet ingredients to see if I can get a fluff"
