Reviewed knock-you-naked brownies

Aug 13, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I made these brownies for a friend who was moving and OMG VERY GOOD! They are rich and as they sit out, they do get more gooey; they don't keep their shape like a normal brownie due to the caramel mixture. In response to some of the reviews, the top would have been difficult to put on, but I rolled it in between plastic wrap than picked it up w/ the...

Reviewed lemon blueberry cheesecake bars

Jul 8, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Very good and "light." If you are looking for a quick, crowd pleaser that is not heavy like a cheesecake, but tastes very close to one, this is the dessert! I love lemon, so for me adding the extra lemon and zest was not overpowering for me. As a matter of fact, it almost seemed if you left out a lot of the lemon, it would be a bit bland. They are...

Reviewed hot 'n sweet shrimp lettuce wraps

Mar 31, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Very good! I do agree with the other reviews that adding the red pepper may not make it hot enough, especially if you like it hot. Instead of the red pepper you can try upping it by adding a jalapeno or habanero. I did add the red pepper flakes. It was a little easier and I could control the heat better. If we needed more heat all we had to do is...

OMG!!!! Best brownies ever!! I made these for my husband & In-laws for Valentines Day and they were a hit. Thanks for the reviewer tips on the pan. I did not have the pan she suggested, but I did have two 9X13 Pyrex pans; I was not going to go all around town to try to find it. My only suggestion is if you don't have a pan to either cut the recipe...

Reviewed eggplant gratin

Mar 31, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was pretty good. I did bake the eggplant as others suggested and it was delicious. I did omit some of the salt. It seemed like a bit much. My 18th month old loved it as well. Will make again for sure!

Mar 4, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Okay I made this twice already and the amount of mayo depends on the potato. If you are using Russets, you tend to need more mayo. But if you are using a red or white potato (which is better), you use a 1/2 cup).

Reviewed herb garlic bread

Feb 27, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I have made Ina's other herb and garlic bread and this one is just as delicious! I did change it a little. Instead of French Bread I used Ciabatta. I also melted two TBSP of butter and added to each side before I put the herb mixture on....yummy! Because the Ciabatta is bigger I cooked it at 380 degrees for about 15 min.

Reviewed grilled chicken caesar wrap

Feb 6, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Very good, fast & easy! This will be definitely one that I will make again. I did buy good low fat - store bought dressing because it was just easier. I also did not cook the chicken on the grill, seeing as it was freezing when I made this, and since I don't have a grill pan I baked 6 chicken breasts in the oven at 425 for 25 min. They were so...

Feb 6, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was very easy and yummy. I also made the potato salad and the only thing is I found it a bit dry when only adding 1/2 cup of mayo (as the recipe call for for). So I used a full cup of light mayo plus added olives and celery and it turned out just great.

Reviewed Creamy Shrimp Bisque

Jan 9, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was pretty good. I am giving it four stars because my soup did not come out thick at all. I was quite disappointed. I added two heaping TBSP of flour towards the end to help thicken it up plus quite a bit of Creole Seasoning for flavor. After those little modifications, it was good to go. I will make tis again, but try to make it even better.

Reviewed Chicken and Noodles

Jan 9, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent! My husband is NOT a soup eater, but he gobbled it up. It does make quite a bit so be prepared to have left overs. This recipe does take time, but it's easy and worth it. I also did not even bother looking for frozen egg noodles and went straight for the dried egg noodles in the pasta isle and it came out wonderful. If you are looking for...

Reviewed Butternut Squash and Italian Sausage Soup

Nov 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Very good! A must try! The soup was very creamy. I did change one thing. I like a bit more texture in a soup so instead of pureeing it, when the squash came out of the oven I mashed it up with a potato masher and then added it to the soup. The soup was still very creamy, as if I used a blender, but yet still had texture from the sausage and a little...

Reviewed Coconut Cupcakes

Nov 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

These were simply WONDERFUL!!! I made them for a party and they were gobbled up so fast. This is the only recipe I have found, so far, that actually adds the coconut inside the cupcakes. It adds texture and you can taste it a little. I do recommend toasting the coconut topping, which adds crunch and makes it a little less sweet. DEFINITLY CUT THE...

Reviewed Pasta with Pumpkin and Sausage

Nov 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I almost forgot. I also made the salad and it was so easy and very delicious. If you add blue cheese crumbles, walnuts and caramelized bacon it takes this salad to a whole new level.

Ok in Rachael's famous words....yummo! If you are looking for a fall pumpkin pasta recipe look no further. Very creamy and the pumpkin brought out the sausage flavor. Husband said one of the best pastas I ever made!
It is a bit better the second day so having leftovers was not a problem. A must try!

Reviewed Chewy Sugar Cookies

Nov 12, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

These were very tasty. I made them for Halloween using a cookie mold sheet. They were very chewy and soft. The dough can be a little wet so you would have to add more flour if you were rolling out. Overall a pretty great recipe.

This was ok. I do like that it is a quick way to make potatoes, but they were not anything special. They are good and adding toppings make them delicious, but if I have the time I think I will stick to baked potatoes."

Great recipe. I normally don't make lasagna because it takes awhile, but this is so easy. I also found adding the goat cheese gave it a little extra tang. All I can say is make this cheesecake! Very moist, easy and delicious! I was a little worried not doing a water bath but tried it to see how it would turn out....no bath needed! One of the best recipes for cheesecake around. I did change the topping, instead of raspberry I did a cheery. Yummy!!! Will make again. Thanks Ina!"

Very tasty, easy and clean-up a snap! I agree, that 2Tbsp. of oregano is just perfect. I also added a bit of rosemary to kick it up a bit. As for cheese...it goes with almost anything so put it on; gives it that extra somethng that the dish lacks. Mozzarella the best!"

Another great recipe! This was very easy and delicious! Tried it with cod and it came out moist, flakey and the flavors were throughout the fish. I too had problems wrapping the parchment paper, but in the end it all came together. I did add a sprig of rosemary as well; excellent pairing with the Thyme. I think this will work with any white fish. "

Have to give these a try. I have never made potstickers before and these were very tasty & easy. The BBQ suace was also outstanding. The only thing is, when creating the BBQ seasoning for the pot sticker mix, it makes a whole lot; there is no way I can possible go through that much seasoning. I am either going to omit or use a touch of each spice "

Pretty good. I love making couscous b/c it's so easy and this was no exception. The garlic was just right. I used fresh canned corn. The corn didn't get as roasted as I would have liked and one of the reviewers mentioned that a little more flavor was needed; I agree. I will make again with a little tweaking. "
