Reviewed Beatty's Chocolate Cake

"I made 2 of these cakes on the same night and frosted them the next day. Cakes were easy to make. I am not that experienced making buttercream so I wasn't sure of the consistency. I refrigerated both cakes and the first cake was eaten later that evening. The frosting had become too hardened.Because of the egg yolk I felt it needed to chill. I would love to hear any comments about that. The 2nd cake sat out for a few hours before it was served and received rave reviews on it. Delicious cake! guests from both parties loved it and I was very proud. I did cut back on the coffee for the icing as one review said it was abit overpowering. Otherwise I followed the directions exactly. This is a keeper, really really good!
