Reviewed pecorino romano with apples and fig jam

Jan 25, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Admit to using fig jam instead of making my own because I had a jar around. That being said, it was fantastic! Sweet, salty, tangy with a little crunch. Loved it. Rave reviews. So easy for a really nice and different appetizer.

My husband said last minute, just before lunch time, that he wanted soup for lunch. Usually I have some sort of soup in the freezer that I have made, but the freezer was bare. I followed the instructios to a tee and even added more of the aromatics than called for but for some reason came out a bit bland for my taste. Love all the additions, carrots, cukes etc. which gave a much needed crunch. ""

Reviewed Portobello Mushroom Lasagna

Oct 22, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was simply wonderful. I did add a bit to the reciepe but over all the basics were the same. I did add garlic and thyme to my mushroom saute and utilized some dried mixed exotic mushrooms as I did not have enough portobellas. The result was amazing earthiness. It is a bit rich so it is a great side dish to a roast or something else but I would...
