"Love this recipe as a side dish with chicken marsala or any type of chicken dish. I have used sweet onions if I don't have shallots fresh from my garden and it's just as good. I use bow-tie pasta, regular. as I don't like whole wheat. I use about 3/4 pound pasta but do not change any other quantities. My whole family loves this pasta recipe."
