Reviewed spicy cinnamon-chocolate brownies

Sep 24, 2014 on

Delicious! I have made these about a million times now, My kids love them, and of all the parties I have taken them to, only one person has disliked them. Most people request the recipe. I thought it would taste weird, but they really just taste rich...and you can't go wrong with a rich brownie!

Reviewed fusilli with sun-dried tomato vinaigrette

Once again Giada delivers! Made this tonight and my husband rated it "DELICIOUS". Any pasta I can get my husband to approve of is a bonus. (No, I am not sure how we are still married lol) I just used regular pasta, and somehow I don't have any ACV so I just used a little white vinegar (less than called for). The three children liked it as well. Definitely...

Reviewed spicy garlic and anchovy farfalle

Jan 25, 2014 on

Really, really GREAT! I am not a big seafood/fish person, and the anchovy paste sounded gross. But I like Caesar salad so I figured it was worth a try. All 3 kids loved it and deemed it a keeper! Even the picky husband enjoyed it. I didn't add as much salt as the recipe called for, but otherwise followed exactly. Didn't even need to add pepper, and...

Giada never fails with her AWESOME recipes. I didn't have salami so I didn't use it, but this dish was LOVED by my entire family. It is extremely rare for all five of us to like something, much less love it. :) I did have to make eggs special for their picky butts (boys were sunny side up as pictured, one girl had scrambled eggs, and one had scrambled...

Reviewed Pizzette with Gorgonzola, Tomato and Basil

Sep 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I have made these several times and they are always requested at my parties. Even my picky husband, who swore he hated gorgonzola, can't stop eating them. And my 3 kids, who hate tomatoes, will shovel these things in non stop. I will say that I make them smaller, more bite sized, by using a shot glass to cut the pizza dough. I just find them easie"

Love these things! So forgiving too! I have made them with breakfast sausages, reg Italian sausage, and -my personal favorite-Spicy Italian sausage. I had trouble with the cutting of the dough, so I used my large biscuit cutter and they look like cute in that shape. Probably smaller than she intended, but they still fly off the plate! Thanks again"

I want to say that I was slightly disappointed in the chili. It looked so very yummy when Guy made it, and my husband begged me to make it for weeks after. I made it exactly as directed and the ingredients were EXPENSIVE! Thank God it made enough for two dinners, but I have never thought of chili as a budget buster before lol. It was good, but I "

Reviewed Pulled Pork Tacos with Citrus Salsa

Sep 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

My family really liked this dish. The pork was so tender! The left over liquid in the pan will be an amazing base for some kind of soup (haven't decided yet what kind so I froze it). I didn't find it spicy at all so I may add more jalapeño next time. The salsa was just okay, but I added some onion and cilantro and that made it really good. I hav"

Reviewed Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Basil-Curry Mayonnaise

Dec 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

We made this for Christmas dinner and it was so awesome! We couldn't find beef tenderloin at the three stores we went to, so got a prime rib instead (which I don't even like, so you know this recipe was awesome!. Also, no one seems to carry mascarpone cheese, so we made a substitute using heavy cream, sour cream, and cream cheese. It was so fre...

Made this for Christmas dinner and it was so amazingly delicious! My kids don't even like mustard and they love love loved it. Can not wait to make it again! Followed the recipe exactly, except ran out of fresh rosemary and substituted dried. Don't do it. The flavor was still there, but we kept picking rosemary out of our mouths lol. Also, ...

Reviewed Israeli Couscous with Apples, Cranberries and Herbs

Dec 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Made this as a side dish for Christmas dinner. I followed the recipe exactly except all I had was orzo and it is listed in the recipe as a sub for the couscous, so I went ahead and used those. The presentation was gorgeous! Taste was just so-so. No one hated the recipe, but it wasn't great either. I probably won't make this again. One the othe...

Really good! I made 4 and two of my children looked like little barbarians as they attacked their game hens. lol. My son didn't eat too much because he wasn't feeling well, so I took the carcasses and threw them in the crock pot over night and turned them into a delicious chicken noodle soup! This really helped offset the cost factor for me be...

AMAZING! Even though none of us are big fans of olives, I decided we had to do this as written because Giada always has great recipes. I don't regret it for a second. The vinaigrette was delicious and the whole sandwich was divine. I made it as a snack for a party we went to and used rosemary olive oil bread and it was so good. It disappeared...
