Great basic recipe. Just like my grandma and dad used to make. I had to make a few modifications myself. No bacon, jalapenos, or garlic and I cut back on the butter to about 6 tbls total....and used the 6 tbls in both in the mix and in the pan. I always melt a few tablespoons of butter in my skillet while the oven heats up, makes the cornbread...

Awesome cup cakes! Very rich and moist! I followed the recipe--made sure my eggs and butter were room temperature and most importantly--I didn't over mix the batter (which would have made them dense)! Thanks for sharing your outstanding cupcake recipe with us, Ina! I've been using Starbuck's Via in the cake as well as the ganache topping....tastes...

Outstanding and simple desert! I followed the instructions with a few modifications and it came out perfect! I used sweetened coco instead of unsweetened, so I cut back on the sugar to 2-3 tbls instead of the 1/4 cup. Also, instead of the brown sugar I added sweetened coco (to taste for the sour cream topping. Getting the egg whites really stiff...
