Reviewed Garlic Knots

Jun 6, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Not what I was expecting but still excellent. The pizzeria's that I frequent in Brooklyn have chewy and browned garlic knots, which is what I was expecting. My own weren't chewy, but were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had them in the oven for a while and they refused to become really brown and become shiny, so I pulled them. The"

And we have a winner! I was craving donuts and all I could find without going to the grocery store was a $5 can of organic biscuits. Next time I'll go get a cheaper can. They were tender, soft and moist inside. I decided not to add the glaze because they were just too good by themselves. I zapped the flour/butter mixture in the food pr"

Everyone was raving about the crust. Slightly chewy around the edges but still soft. Yum. My family's vegetarian and doesn't eat eggs so instead of the lemon topping we used mixed berries with agave and a little cinnamon and clove. Delish. It was nice and tart. We also keep a tub of whipped cream in the freezer which tastes like vanilla ice cream."

Reviewed Rugelach

Feb 24, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The rugelach taste like a rugelach should. Yummy. The only thing is that my rugelach did not come out flaky but rather crumbly and they came out pale, not golden brown like Ina's.""
