The batter is much thinner and runny than other cake batters I have baked with so I was worried it wouldn't turn out. 35 to 40 minutes is a perfect time. "This is not a good cake recipe. The frosting and filling were not thick enough and the cake was extremely dry. Also there was not enough lemon flavor. I choose to add lemon juice to the frosting. I will not make this cake again."
