This was my first time making this dish and it turned out perfectly. The batter is much thinner and runny than other cake batters I have baked with so I was worried it wouldn't turn out. 35 to 40 minutes is a perfect time. Everyone loved it because it had a bit of saltiness that went well with the chocolate. Paula's recipes never fail!"

This is not a good cake recipe. The frosting and filling were not thick enough and the cake was extremely dry. Also there was not enough lemon flavor. I choose to add lemon juice to the frosting. I will not make this cake again."
