I've made this many times but after the first time I started using the microwave instead. I don't really like heating the oven to 500� (unless it's for a prime rib!) when I'm entertaining and this is just as great done in the microwave. Plus it's easy to stick it back in for a few seconds when it's cooled. I've used bourbon as well as brandy...both...
