My Activity

Reviewed Creamy Winter Vegetable Soup

"A very good winter soup! Replaced the fennel bulb by a similar size celeriac root, because that's what I had on hand, and used 1/2 squash, because I felt a whole one would overpower the dish. Reversed the milk to stock ratio, and replaced the wine by stock, to meet my tastes. But instead of said directions, I thoroughly mixed 2-3 tbl. spoon flour "

Reviewed Spicy Eggplant

"I did double the sauce and the meat for a 1 1/2 lb eggplant. I like this dish meaty and saucy. I replaced half of the plum sauce by Thai sweet chili sauce. Turned out wonderfully fragrant. Great recipe.""

Reviewed Mahimahi with Orange Salsa

"This is a great an easy recipe. The only thing I modified is adding a sprinkling of ground coriander to the fish, to complement the Moroccan flavors of the orange salsa. Perfect!""

About Me

As soon as I could read, I was reading cook books. Food has been the central focus of my life since then by the sharing of tips, recipes and dishes. I started out with French and Chinese cuisine, but soon branched out due to my fondness for Mediterranean, Asian, Indian and vegetarian cuisine. Sincerely, there isn't any tradition that I don't like. I don't shy away from bold tastes, and I really like garlic, peppers, spices and herbs. My cuisine is vibrant, alive, loud and colourful.
