"I failed twice making the caramel sauce. Unfortunately, I deleted the episode from my DVR before I made the pie so I don't have the benefit of watching it again to see what I'm doing wrong. I ended up with rock candy just like she said I would but I didn't even swirl the pan the second time never mind stir it. I ended up looking up a different recipe for caramel from the internet and using that. It was okay but that didn't turn out perfect either so maybe I should just stay away from making my own caramel (HA!). Otherwise this is delicious!!
