My Activity

Reviewed Cheddar-Horseradish Soup

"This was a good recipe, instead of water I used beef stock and it was rich, creamy, and delicious. For those of you wondering what the yield is, my husband and I got 4 servings out of this (2 each). Best with shaved cheddar on top, next time will add croutons for some crunch"

Reviewed Sweet Basil Cheesecake

"The taste of the cheesecake is disappointingly bland, definitely use more than just a pinch of salt. I put in 1/4 tsp and some pepper, next time I'll use a 1/2 tsp. I will say that the cake came out beautifully and looks exactly like the one in the photograph. It just needs something else to make it worth the calories and fat! Maybe sun-dried toma""

Reviewed Coconut Cream Pie with Chocolate-Painted Crust

"The coconut custard is delicious!! I have never made custard before this recipe, and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I made it last night (before I had to go to the ER and then OR... glad I got this out of the way!) for my fiance's family's christmas party per his grandmother's request. I decided to make it the day before so I could chill ""

This recipe has knocked my socks off. The custard is perf""

Reviewed Peppermint Bark

"What a GREAT recipe! A new favorite, for sure! Not only is it so easy, it is so quick and easy to clean up after. There's only one bowl to clean! The peppermint extract adds just the right amount of flavor to the chocolate, and the peppermint candies are a fun treat. I was worried about biting into them, but they break very easily. ""

Reviewed Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel Cookies

"These are pretty, but I would not make them again. The cookie was a little dry, so I melted chocolate to add as a design and add some moisture. The chocolate part of the dough is a little difficult to work with and separates and peels away from the peppermint dough easily. I would recommend laying the peppermint dough down first and having the cho""

Reviewed Outrageous Brownies

"These were wonderful! However, 3 tablespoons of coffee powder made the coffee taste a little too strong. Ina always says how you shouldn't taste too much of the coffee as it's role is to bring out the flavor of the chocolate, but I thought this much was overpowering.

I'm making them again soon and plan on using milk chocolate chips and no coffee ""
