Reviewed Authentic Italian Meatballs

"I made these today, but I didn't do as directed. First of all I would never put raw meat in my sauce or gravy, I fried mine first or you could broil them (or they will fall apart). Secondly, I don't know many italians who cook oregano, oregano gets very very bitter when cooked too long(3 hours is toooo long). I never heard of cooking any type of..."

Reviewed Grandma Hiers' Carrot Cake

"Delicious........my friends say its the best they have ever had. Making it again on Sunday for a Birthday cake. It doesnt need all that sugar, use 1 1/2 cups, its plenty sweet. I am a guy and I work with almost all women, I try to make a scratch cake at least once a month, I can't tell you how many requests I have had for this cake. Today I am"

Reviewed Big Bud's Beer Can Chicken

"I am only giving this one 3 stars because it didn't cook as instructed and took at least a half hour longer, even put it on convection over, was still raw when I cut it. Also the oregano over powered the other ingredients and oregano gets very bitter when cooked too long. I am not saying it was not good, it was very good but I expect cooks on he""

Reviewed Paula's Apple Pie Filling

"I made this recipe to a tee and it was so sour I thought my mouth would never stop puckering. I used Granny Smiths maybe that's why. Not sure. I have NEVER EVER made a Paula dessert that didn't get a 5 star rating. Guess I was due. Paula is the bomb.......love her.

Reviewed Chocolate Strawberry Trees

"She has a video on how to make these. I am having my son, his wife and their 3 children and 4 foster children for Christmas this year and plan to make this for the kids. Thanks Paula for being so creative with your desserts and everything else. I started watching Paula because she seemed so happy, just liked watching a happy cook on TV, now I am one of her biggest fans. I have been cooking for over 30 years, mostly ethnic Italian and she has shown me how to cook some incredible stuff, maybe I can teach her a trick or two someday in the kitchen....would make my world!
