To the person who said that we should all make the recipe exactly as written: most people who cook a lot use recipes as guidelines. Some may use more garli9c, for instance,or beef broth or wine. Just a mater of taste. I made this yesterday, used 3 cloves of garlic & we both loved it. I also added green beans & potatoes.

this recipe reminded me of aformer mexican restaurant that served a seafood soup. the base was chicken stock w/out tomatoes, but came with chopped jalapenos, scallions, & cilantro. So... I too used chicken broth, added one can (16 oz) of tomatoes, chopped broccoli, a can of corn, and canned jalapenos, with extra cumin. GOOD!"

We like our food spicy, so I used 1 bs. of curry powder plus a whole chopped jalapeno. Also put butternut squash, carrots, green beans in.Bought rotisserie chicken breasts & will add those in chunks. I frequently use frozen jasmine rice ( easy, no pot to wash). To correct the above error, it's 1 Tbs. of curry powder!"
