Reviewed Red Velvet Cupcakes

"Upon reading the other reviews, I was a little hesitant in making this recipe for my classroom for Mother's Day, so I decided to try it myself. Good thing I did. I added an extra stick of butter in hoping that the recipe wouldn't be too dry, as previously stated and kept an extra good eye on the cupcakes in the oven with hopes that it wouldn't ove"

Reviewed Hummus

"This is a good recipe, but I got a similar recipe from my coworker. I can't use hot sauce, because of my acid reflux. I used 2 garlic cloves, 2 cans of chick peas, 2/3 cup tahini, lemon juice remained the same or 1/3 c of lemon juice, 1/3 c. water, 1/4 c. e.v.o.o., 1/2 tsp. salt. Added a touch of paprika and sprinkled some on top (no hot sauce). A"

Reviewed Strawberry Shortcake

"I made this originally for a co-worker for her birthday. Now everyone asked me to make it for their birthdays! It's a fantastic dessert that "hits the spot". I doubled the glaze recipe, including the water but not the sugar, or it will be way too sweet. If you haven't tried this recipe, trust me, you can't go wrong. It's D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Reviewed Fully Loaded Cheesy Potato Soup

"TALK ABOUT COMFORT FOOD, BABY!! This soup was so good! I omitted the beer and the bacon. I added another cup of chicken broth and used half and half instead of milk, like advised from previous reviews. I also don't have a hand blender, so I pureed it in my blender after it cooled down some. So rich and creamy! I made this soup basically for my dau""

Reviewed Strawberry Shortcake

"OMG! What a recipe this is! I made this in a trifle bowl for a co-worker for her birthday. She was so touched! I had my preschool class make the custard and cut up the strawberries. I made the angel food cake from a cake mix, refrigerated it the night before and cut in into two halves. However, you DO need to either double or triple the amount for the glaze. We shared it with the class, as well as all the other teachers where I work. It was so good, one teacher came back asking for seconds! I would DEFEINATELY recommend this recipe. I'm not big on strawberry shortcake, but Paula Deen really got 2 thumbs up from me! Oh, yuuuuuum!!

Reviewed Strawberry Shortcake

"OMG! What a recipe this is! I made this in a trifle bowl for a co-worker for her birthday. She was so touched! I had my preschool class make the filling and cut up the strawberries. I couldn't find an already store-bought angel food cake, so I made one myself from a cake mix and cut in into two halves. The filling and strawberry jello added the special touch!

About Me

I am a working mom with a husband, daughter, and now a dog. I teach preschool and watch food network at night to relax. I always find great recipes and great ideas. I love to cook and bake, but feel there is never enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. I enjoy spending time with my family.
