Reviewed Steamed Littleneck Clams with Sweet Corn and Basil

Jul 23, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Awesome and unique take on clam chowder. My wife and I both loved it and will be doing it again and again. We might also try it with mussels. For all the people who gave negative reviews becasue of the size of the serving, or because it's not a complete meal - you are totally off base. This is her take on SOUP, not a meal. It is well proportioned "

awesome flavors in this dijon glaze. like someone else, i didn't use as much honey as the recipe called for, but followed it closely other than that. delicious and easy. i expect that i will be making this again and again. "

Reviewed Leeky Chicken Soup

Feb 4, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I wanted a quick chicken soup because I wasn't feeling well and this one looked interesting. Very good flavors, but doesn't create a very rich broth (which I kinda expected from just reading the recipe.) Still a richer broth would have been better. Worth remaking if you want a quick chix soup. I also wonder if I used thighs if that would make it ...

Reviewed Pork Chops Smothered with Peppers and Onions

Feb 2, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

very good. i think the sauce could be more concentrated, so I pulled the veggies and pork out then reduced the sauce to a much tighter consistency. much better. but, still a really good easily repeatable and healthy recipe. Also, be careful not to dry out the pork chops as getting chops 1.5 in thick is not common, so times may need to be adjusted....

Surprisingly awesome. I have had collard greens a few times. I usually think they are just okay. My wife has always disliked collard greens. When I saw this recipe, i thought it just looked good and decided to give it a try. Both of us loved this recipe. I followed it to the tee, and it turned out perfectly. "

Jun 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

never did ribs before, but this recipe sure made it easy. perfection for the timing and tenderness of the ribs. The sauce is the best bbq sauce I ever had, but i did modify it slightly with a bit more spice in the rub/seasoning and using honey instead of corn syrup. Still I believe it was the method of the slow cooking for the sauce that made it s"

Ribeye is so good you don't need more that salt, pepper and flame to make a good one. But, I happened to see this episode on a day when I had a ribeye ready to grill. If I hadn't seen the episode, I would probably have not tried it, since the ingredients didn't sound like they'd mesh. I would have missed out. This recipe really jelled and was deli"

sweet and creamy. like others i only did 1 tbs of butter. it was delicious as written. but then i added a step that really finished it off even better. after pureeing, i put it in a baking dish, put another tbs of butter on top and baked it at 400 for about 20 min while waiting for the rest of my dinner to be done. double yum!

The sauce had good flavor, just a little weak. I didn't see the show, so I'm not sure this written recipe is really all the directions. Another reviewer wrote something about a "coal pot." I have no idea what that is and I wonder if that might have given the chicken more flavor. I just cooked it on the grill and used boneless breast. It would have...
