Reviewed Pecan & Red Onion Bread (for bread machine)

Jul 23, 2012 in on Food.com

I loooove this bread! I used to make this all of the time back in the early 90's. I used 1/2 white and 1/2 wheat (both bread flour). It's especially awesome when toasted. My bread machine has long since bit the dust, but I'm going to try and make it without one."

Made it exactly by the recipe. Very good but I have to say there wasn't anything that really made it "stand out" in the way I would want it to for all of the toasting and grilling required...I mean compared to other very good pasta salad recipes that are easier/quicker to make. Still really enjoying it though now that it's done! :)""

Sweet, Spicy, Thick, Hearty, Yum! I left the meat out and used veg broth since I'm vegan. Made it as a do-ahead recipe and I'm having a very hard time leaving it alone! Whoever said it was bland must have done something wrong."
