"This is one of my go-to slow cooker meals, it is always delicious. I have never put the five-spice powder in so it doesn't taste very asian but it is a very flavorful tomato/onion broth. I sometimes add a little cornstarch at the end to thicken it and serve over mashed potatoes or gnocchi. ""
