These were fairly simple to do and a very nice presentation. I made the recipe as written. You must LOVE cumin!!! I love it but it my husband said, "whatever that spice is in there...it's too much and I don't like it" Now, that's personal preference but it does jump out at you! Just cut back if you don't love it. The basil sauce is great I w"

Nov 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have made this time and time again! Rave reviews every time that I make it. By all means, saute those fingerlings in the duck fat...it's a must. It is SO simple...basically meat, potato, and green beans but the sauce brings it all together. Don't substitute the cherries for cranberries. They are not the same and the cherries are perfect in "

Ina tends to use more salt than I prefer in any of her recipes. No offense to her....I do love her recipes but always reduce the amount of salt!"

I really liked this...also the fact that it cooked in the oven. I found this to have a lot of flavor. The only way it wouldn't have flavor is if you used the rub on the outside of the chicken only and not adding it under the skin. With that bacon cooked over the top it added a different twist...more fat as well, unfortunately. I always like t"

Wow, I am so tired of boring broccoli and that is why I turned to this recipe. I don't really feel that I should post as I hate it when people post that don't follow the recipe....but, the only thing that I didn't have was fresh Basil and we all know that adding it would have only made this recipe better! I loved it! I agree with Julie.jfj...be"

I made this complete recipe last weekend for my husbands associates. I made it as written clear down to the homemade applesauce. VERY tasty!! Finding the Merliton's was no easy task...asking a produce guy won't help either. They looked at me like I were crazy. Thanks to Google, I found out that they were simply Chayote squash. Outstanding soup! I made it exactly as written and it was fabulous!! Yes, Sareo, a bit of Sherry would also give it a unique flavor as I love sherry in my recipes but absolutely not necessary. I kept the half and half....I don't eat high fat everyday so I splurge when necessary! this one is a keeper and well worth the time!
