Reviewed Traditional Southern Deviled Eggs

Oct 12, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I absolutely HATE hard boiling eggs and peeling them. It is so tedious and obnoxious to me--maybe it's just me, but it doesn't not come easy. I even clogged my sink drain and had to become a "plumber" for the morning to get those darn egg shells out!

Anyways, as much as I hate the prep work for the eggs, it is worth it because this...

Absolutely delish. Used 1/3 the amount of mayo and it was enough. Didn't have fresh cilantro so used fresh parsley. MMMMM good. Especially on some homemade italian bread!""

Sooooo good! I went on a 3-day snowboarding trip to Vermont and prepped this the night before we left. Placed it all in the slow cooker the next day and had a cheap and delicious dinner! Nothing better than bbq brisket sammies. I bought coleslaw, whole grain mustard, tomatoes, red onions and pickled jalapenos for garnish--and placed on challah ro...

I used a premade Graham cracker crust and ended up having enough for two pies! Anyways, this was sooooo delicious! Make sure you use REAL maple syrup. I used Grade A Dark Amber since I was also using that for my Thanksgiving turkey. What a winner.""

Reviewed Chicken or Steak with Balsamic BBQ Sauce

Dec 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is banging! My boyfriend has been making it for me and I just realized that he's been using the Merlot Sauce (from Tastefully Simple) instead of Worchestershire sauce in the BBQ sauce (thinking it was Worchestershire!). It is the best tangy/sweet bbq sauce I've ever had and add some perfectly succulent grilled chicken...a definite winner. Ha...

My boyfriend loved this. I thought it was lacking a little something in flavor. Added some Worchestershire sauce and that helped. Definitely good, but didn't blow me away. Make sure you use a fatty meat so it doesn't toughen up during the 45 min of cooking.""

Reviewed Sauteed Chicken Breast with Artichokes and Peppers

Feb 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I didn't have chicken broth or vermouth, so I substituted with beef broth, white wine vinegar, and added some corn starch to thicken the sauce...it came out very delicious...not sure whether I would use the original ingredients I didn't have for the next time, but I'm sure it would be delish as well!
