My Activity
Reviewed Garlic Basil Shrimp
"This was so light and very satisfying. I used wild caught Alaskan shrimp (frozen/thawed); and used Sauv Blanc because that's what I had. Everything else was as the recipe stated. Very easy to prepare and ready to serve in a jiffy (except peeling those shrimp!) Right after I added the wine to the pan, I also added 3 zuchinni's that were sliced "
Reviewed Beef and Bechamel Lasagna
"This is a good lasagna! However, I do believe each cook will need to tweek it just a bit to fit their personal taste. I prepared it according to Melissa's recipe (except I used 2% cottage cheese) and I'm happy with the outcome. I used maybe only 1/4 cup extra water to swoosh out the jar and I sprinkled that on the bottom of the lasagna pan. If I make it again, I will prepare a day in advance. Also, my store-brand noodles came with more than 9 in the package -- I'm going to break 'em and use all of them. They will sop up the excess moisture if that is a problem for folks."
Reviewed Chicken Cacciatore
"Tasty, yes! Simple too. I followed the ingredients list with the exception of using homemade chicken stock in lieu of the wine because I didn't have any. And I don't have a food mill so tried to squoosh both cans of tomatoes through the holes in my colander, which was very time consuming mind you! Taste wise, I thought it was great! I KNOW the wine would enhance the dish even more. I have a TON of liquid leftover -- which will make for another dish another time. Its in the freezer as I type this. Thanks, Anne, for a lovely and easy to follow recipe.
