My Activity

Reviewed Teriyaki Beef

"I cook for my family of 6, whose tastes differ drastically. My criteria for new recipes are easy dishes with few ingredients that appeal to me.
When I found this recipe, I loved that it was only 6 ingredients & a 1 hour soak time.
I used flank steak sliced thin, fresh grated ginger, fresh pressed garlic, & Kikkoman Soy Sauce. I cooked the meat & marinade in a skillet, omitting the oil. Half way through I drained off most of the marinade. I flipped each piece often until they were done. The soy sauce was pungent but I got thumbs up from all.
Trying it again, I decreased the soy sauce to ¼ cup and increased the water to ½ cup. It didn’t have the punch it had the first time, but was still a winner.
The 3rd time I made it, I noticed the ratings, stunned to see 1 star. This time, I adjusted the soy sauce/water to ½ cup each, & a spoonful of brown sugar. Wonderful.
