"I tried this today and loved the simplicity of it. Now I can have candied ginger year round instead of just at Christmas. Next time I'll probably use less water in the initial boil to get a punchier flavor.

Can anyone tell me...would this method work for candied citrus peel too? Most recipes call for just boiling and draining but I want the ""

Reviewed Leftover Oatmeal Bread

"I've been looking for a good oatmeal bread recipe for a long time and I wanted to make this bread the minute I saw the episode. I'm just now sitting down to my second warm buttered slice. It's absolutely phenomenal. Incredibly easy to make and sooooo good. If you don't have leftover oatmeal then 1 1/2 cups water and 3/4 cups of oats will make exactly the right amount for this recipe. Something tells me I'll be making more tomorrow cuz this loaf won't last through the night...
