"I was skeptical about this one because I never had strata before. I was afraid it would be like a mushy pudding. It was so good! Not at all mushy. I used stale challah bread. I loved the spicy chorizo, richness from the custard, the avocado cream and cilantro were great with it. Even if you are not sure try this one it's great!. ""

"This was beyond good. I only changed two things. I rubbed the pork with salt and pepper and browned it on all sides in a small amount of oil over med high heat to get a crust. Then I put it in the crockpot. I combined the olive oil and spices and rubbed all over pork. It came out perfectly at the end. So no need to crisp it in all of that oil ""

Reviewed Potatoes au Gratin

"I followed advice of previous posts and added one cup of cheese to the sauce. I also sautéd a large sweet onion thinly sliced, in some butter until caramelized and grated two garlic cloves into the onions the last two minutes. I added the onions to the potatoes and sauce. Turned out awesome! These got rave reviews at Christmas dinner.
