My Activity

Reviewed Swedish Meatballs

"Tonight we made Alton's Swedish Meatballs and they were delicious. I made a few modifications because we like the tang of sour cream. The changes were:
a. 1/4 cup sour cream instead of the heavy cream;
b. we did not have allspice in the pantry, so i added about 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp cloves, and 1/8 tsp nutmeg (on top of the nutmeg already included
c. a little dash (not even 1/4 cup red wine;
d. 2 Tablespoons grape jelly;
e. after cooking the sauce, I put the meatballs in and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.

The sauce was so rich and delicious over egg noodles! Even my 2 year old ate everything, and she never eats meat.

Reviewed Slamma Jamma Parmigiana

"We've been hooked on this since we first saw it on TV... it's the only way to fry up chicken! The salt/sugar brine is key - even if you cut down on some of the salt - do not skip this step! We've made this for family and friends, and it always gets rave reviews! Perfectly delicious every time, thanks Guy!
