About Me

I've been an officer in the Army for more than 21 years and have lived across the United States and around the world including Europe and the Middle East.  Growing up in a blue collar, paper-mill town in northern Maine, I was influenced by the large population of Italian immigrants who as stone masons, built the sprawling paper mill and then later settled with their families to make a new life in the United States as paper makers.  After entering the Army I was exposed to various cuisines from Germany, France, the Arab Peninsula and Israel, the Levant and Asia.  Although far from being a professional chef, I am passionate about my desire to learn new techniques and explore the vast world of food.
