"This was okay. I think we will make again with some changes. Reduce the honey a little. Add pickled onions, and season the chicken mixture a little better (it was slightly bland).""

"This soup was delicious!
Though I'm sure it's just as good by following the recipe, I made the following modifications:
Beef Stock instead of Chick Stock, reduced to 2 1/2 quarts instead of 3 (it's what I had on hand)
Beluga/black lentils instead of green (they are a bit more firm)
Gruyere instead of Parmesan (thought it went better w/the beef st""

"this was pretty good! it could use a little more salt than the recipe calls for, and I think the prep time stated in the recipe is a bit too ambitious, but the dish is good. Will make again!""

"This recipe is fantastic... with the omission of one ingredient. Thyme. It just doesn't belong.
I made this recipe 3 times over the past several months. The first time, it tasted a little bit "off", and we determined that the thyme was out of place. The second time, I forgot about the first time we made it - so I made it exactly as written again. And, again, we determined that there was a funky taste that just wasn't working with the rest of the ingredients... the thyme.
The third time was a charm. I remembered to omit the thyme and voila - AMAZING!
Since most croutons are sold in 5 oz bags, we also just used 5 oz. I've made this recipe as a large loaf and mini loaves. The mini loaves bake faster, so if you're pressed for time or impatient, they are definitely the way to go.
