Reviewed Penne with Braised Short Ribs

This was an excellent dish. I did make two changes according to what others had said in the comments. I added some tomato paste and only used 2 tablespoons of mustard. I also used an immersion blender to mix the sauce in the pot - it made it much easier. My sauce was thick, I had no problems with it being too thin.
Yes, it is time consuming...

Awesome! My daughters and their friends ALWAYS request this. They will even go so far as to help clean up afterward. Once I used an already roasted chicken from the supermarket to help save time and it worked out great. I also add a can of corn into the chicken mixture. My 13 year old daughter requested it and it adds a great crunch. "

Super delicious!! I could not find any dried porcini mushrooms at my grocery store so I used a container of small shitake mushrooms- sliced. Roast was falling apart as I took it out of the pot and the gravy was to die for. Will add this to my list of regularly made dinners.
