Reviewed lebanese lentils, rice and caramelized onions (mujadara)

The taste was great, but even with the reduced cooking time, the dish was rather mushy. I'll eat it, but I'm not sure my husband will partake.

My husband LOVED this recipe and I thought it was great. I didn't have broccoli, so I used our fresh green beans. Also, I didn't have hoisin sauce and so I looked up a recipe online for hoisin sauce and I'm glad I did. Hoisin sauce -
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons peanut butter or black bean paste

Totally disappointed. It had no taste b/c it had very little flavor. I added lots of cilantro and that made it worthy of eating. "

These cookies were fine, but not anything to write home about. I'm still waiting for the WOW cookie recipe, and I've eaten WOW cookies, but I still have not secured a WOW recipe. I soaked the raisins in hot water as recommended by a reviewer and it was a nice touch."

These cookies are fine, but not great, and I'm a little disappointed that they don't taste better than the Nestle Tollhouse recipe. I baked the cookies for 9 minutes as recommended, by the other reviewers. Interestingly, this recipe is much like the recipe on the Ghirardelli package, except Ghirardelli uses 2 tsp of vanilla."

First time making oven fried chicken and I'm really impressed. This is guilt-free fried chicken and I'm appreciative. I only used skinless chicken breast and forgot to add the dijon mustard; however, I made a dijon dipping sauce to make up for the mistake. I will certainly try this recipe again."

Very tasty and extraordinarily easy soup, will definitely make again and again. I didn't appreciate the parsley at the end. "

Reviewed Asian Cabbage Stir-Fry

Sep 10, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was fine, I used red cabbage, but I needed more taste, so I added 1 tbsp of sesame oil. Also, I heated soy sauce, ginger powder (didn't have fresh ginger) and honey and then added it to the dish, and the end result is 4 1/2 stars."

I liked the dish and am better for the extra Essence seasoning. My boyfriend, however, LOVED this dish and is hoping to see this in our food rotation, and that makes me happy!"

It's good, I was hoping for a gumbo that taste more similar to the gumbo I'm use to. This is a very involved recipe in terms of time, it takes a lot of time. I'll likely use a different recipe next time."

Reviewed Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding

Jul 20, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very disappointed. The taste is fair, not great: it's not much better than store bought banana pudding and that's so disheartening because a store bought banana pudding would have been half the cost. I followed a recommendation from a reviewer and added an additional pack of cream cheese and the amount was way too much for use. I adore Paula, bu"

Reviewed Nutty Sweet Potato Soup

Oct 19, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The soup is tasty, but could use more flavor, and because of the ginger, onions and peanut butter think Thai. This soup was labor-intensive, and generally way too cumbersome for the outcome. The next time I spend that much time in the kitchen, I want to walk out with Thanksgiving dinner. It's a fair soup, but that's all.""

Reviewed Chicken Marinade

Nov 18, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Overall, it's a nice marinade. The chicken was moist and tender. However, I did not find that the marinade permeated the meat very much, and it definitely didn't come close to reaching the bone and I marinated the chicken over night and roasted the chicken in the marinade. Nonetheless, it's a nice marinade.
