Reviewed Honey Vanilla Fromage Blanc

Feb 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Loved it. I didn't have fromage blanc and substituted with mascarpone and it was still fabulous. Such a quick and easy assembly. Thanks Ina."

Reviewed Yogurt Sorbet

Fabulous! I first made the recipe as is and loved it. Then, I made with powdered egg whites (because of a pregnant guest and it was still perfect. I also tried another variation adding 1tsp of lemon zest and using organic lemon yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt, again, just great! Thanks Patricia.

Reviewed Plum Cake "Tatin"

Jan 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So Delicious and easy to assemble. Be sure to not let the tatin sit too long when it comes out of the oven as the caramel hardens quickly and will stick to the pie plate. Beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Ham and Cheese in Puff Pastry

So easy, so delicious. A perfect entertaining brunch item in a favorite combination. I assembled through the egg wash and wrapped in plastic and placed in fridge until I was ready to bake. Perfect and beautiful. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Pumpkin Mousse Parfaits

Nov 28, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I loved the idea of this recipe, unfortunately, I found it very tangy (the lemon juice?). The ginger cookies were a nice addition however. But not something I'd make again. Very easy though. Sorry Ina.

Reviewed French Chocolate Bark

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

A refreshing change to usual bark. This has been a part of my holiday baskets for three years now. A bit hit for chocolate lovers but varies from the norm. So easy to make and delicious with slight edits as well if nut allergies are in your family as well. The fruit and chocolate still makes a wonderful combination (though I love it with the nuts)....

Reviewed Rosemary Roasted Cashews

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Surprisingly not a great recipe. I loved the sound of this as a wonderful make ahead snack to serve but found them slightly oily and the flavors very pungent. Sorry Ina

Reviewed Croissant Bread Pudding

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

One of your best dessert recipes. Great recipe to double to serve for 12-18. Top with Giada's Amaretto sauce for sheer perfection. Cooks for a long time, so really plan for meal and oven times. Worth the wait though, everyone raves about this whenever it's served. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Parmesan Chicken

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

A long time favorite. Flavors are delicious and if I'm making for company, I could the chicken before guests arrive so I don't have to stay by the stove. Keep cooked chicken breasts in oven at 210 degrees for up to an hour and serve when ready. The thinner you can pound the chicken breast, the faster the cooking time. Looks elegant but so easy....

Reviewed Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Just fabulous...delicious as a first course for an elegant dinner party, or easy enough to make for 1 or 2 with everyday ingredients. Buy the pears a few days ahead so they are perfectly ripe and delcious. Looks SO beautiful on the plate and always a pleaser for young and old. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with Warm Cider Vinaigrette

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Love this salad, particularly served with a delicious butternut squash soup. A LOVELY ladies lunch or light dinner. Looks gorgeous and super easy to make. Flavors are fall-like and warm, with a wonderful sweetness from the syrup. (I've been known to sub with regular pancake syrup in a pinch and still very good). Thanks Ina

Reviewed White Pizzas with Arugula

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

An easy go-to recipe during a busy week but pretty enough for entertaining. Fabulous recipe as instructed, however I've been known to use premade fresh pizza dough to save time and still just delicious. Always looks beautiful turning a basic meal into another beautiful presentation. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Just Wonderful! Moist (watch them in the oven, take them out when JUST set) and delicious. The ganache helps add even more elegance! Travel well and always a crowd pleaser. I make little sugar flowers out of a stiff royal icing to decorate the top to bring a bit of color and customize for the occassion.
As always, thanks Ina. <...

Reviewed Individual Meat Loaves

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Another winter standby for us New Englanders. Mix freezes really well making it easy to make for 2 or 6. The "individual" aspect makes an old favorite a little bit more special and much prettier on the plate to serve. Flavors were delicious and just fabulous with creamy mashed potatoes. Thanks Ina

Reviewed Strawberry Tarts

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

A household favorite of ours. The custard is just delicious and the nuts sprinkled on top look gorgeous. I've made for 12 or 2 (dough freezes wonderfully). Works great in individual tart shells or a 9" tart shell depending on your event. Make the parts ahead and assemble when needed, just delicious, thanks Ina.

Reviewed Summer Pudding with Rum Whipped Cream

Nov 10, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Super easy, make ahead dessert that always manages to "Wow" company by it's beautiful stage presence. Delicious taste regardless, but I've substituted 1/2 the sugar with splenda to lighten it a bit from time to time. Simple ingredients and it's ready when you are. Thanks Ina
