My Activity
Reviewed Strawberry Lemonade
"Ahhhhmazing! I made this for Easter, and my family drank it up. It would be fabulous as a cocktail base too--little vodka or rum.""
Reviewed Almost-Famous Broccoli-Cheddar Soup
"Eh...it was alright. I wouldn't brag about it or anything. I have another recipe that is far better. I think perhaps using rendering from bacon would add some good flavoring to it.""
Reviewed Bobby's Goulash
"I've made this recipe 3 times now. The first time was entirely too salty. I had made it for my husband and dad, & they too commented on the salt content. The next time I cut both the season and house salt in about half. You have to keep in mind that salt comes from the soy sauce too. Also, I sauted some fresh mushrooms in w/ the onions. Last""
Reviewed Chocohotopots
"What a quick way to make an AMAZING dessert! I made this back in January for a little wine and appetizer party for my girlfriends, and they all loved it. I didn't have superfine sugar on hand, so I did use regular granulated sugar; it turned out fine. I did serve it w/ fresh raspberries and some raspberry sauce I made...couldn't have been tasti""
Reviewed Tres Leches Cake
"Has anyone tried making this in a bunt cake pan? If so, what temp did you bake it, and how long? I just think it would look good...if it turned out.""
Reviewed Roasted Asparagus
"So simple so flavorful. It's probably the best way to prepare asparagus, other than on the grill. I added a little garlic powder atop too. The husband loved it."
Reviewed Parmesan Smashed Potatoes
"Marvelous! I'm terrible at making mashed potatoes. They never seem to turn out quite right. (I know it's one of those basics that should be a given) I got this one right! I decided to crush about 3 garlic cloves and throw them in w/ the butter/cream mixture. I then took them out before mixing it in the potatoes. It was a great garlic undertone. Thanks Ina!"
Reviewed Rib-Eye with Mustard-Beer Pan Sauce
"It was pretty good. I'm from KC, so grilling is almost a religion. It was my husband's birthday, & seeing as how someone borrowed our grill, I had to improvise. This was my first attempt at pan seared steak. It was juicy and flavorful. We had leftover sauce, and decided to freeze it to put atop roast at a later date."
About Me
I love to entertain. I'm a decent cook, but don't feel very creative. My forte is baking. I often considered dropping the whole nursing school idea, and taking up pastry school instead. My dream would be to own a coffee/pastry shop. Some day...
