Reviewed Adobo-Rubbed Chicken
"The flavor was perfect for us Wisconsin chicken eaters, and it was VERY juicy, and if you don't mind getting out the blender and have a husband to grill, it was WAY too easy given how impressive the taste and texture. I love Marcela so much because this recipe was such a hit with my friends, a real step above barbeque sauce from the jar. Of cou"
Reviewed Lime Cream Trifle
"I made two of Marcella's recipes today, the other was a bigger hit, but this was very good. SO easy, so much flavor. I had no problems at all, but did use more than 3 limes because mine were the small ones, and did whip it for a while in the stand mixes instead of the blender, it looked too loose after a few minutes so I continued and it thicken"
Reviewed Spicy Shrimp and Mushroom Casserole
"I made this last night. This is very easy, other than cleaning the shrimp. I am getting good at charring the poblanos, just broil them, turning a few times every 3 minutes!
I fed this to a pot luck at my house, I could prepare it as people were milling around it was so easy and put hot on the table with all the side dishes people brought. Many requests for the recipe! HA-the downside is that 4 out of 12 of us got sick that night, we can't find the culprit, could have been any of a dozen dishes! They still want the recipe...i'll make this again.
"The sauce was incredible. Peeling walnuts? I did about half of them and gave up, it still tasted great. The pork, with the fruit, with the pepper tang, with the creamy walnut, just amazing flavors. It took me all day to make! And worth every minute. My friends liked it, it was so beautiful with the pomnegranite seeds and cilantro, it made a statement.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Marcela. Where is that studio???? I want to visit.
