Reviewed Chicken Burgers with Garlic-Rosemary Mayonnaise

Feb 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

this is a keeper.....I sauteed ours in a cast iron pan with great results....the mayo rosemary and garlic is perfect on these burgers - same as other reviews, I did not change anything - no need....it's an easy and delicious meal. "

delicious, but I suggest cutting back on the hot spice just a bit...my family preferred this served w/o the sour cream stirred in so I served as a small dollop on top but it was still a little too hot....but especially on a cold night, this is great"

my children like applesauce, and although the adults are not usually crazy about it, my husband did like this recipe...I used granny smith and gala apples, and most definitely, cut back on the lemon juice to a generous squeeze...I think that's what made it so sour the first time I made it, not the oranges, at least for my family.....it's so good w"

I totally agree, EXCELLENT.....my family enjoyed this very much.....first time I made this recipe and I added it to my keeper file already.....the sauce was easy to make and delicious....the meat stayed very moist and full of great flavor"

Reviewed Black Bean and Corn Salad

May 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

this is delicious.....you can control the spice if you prefer, but it's perfect using the amounts of 'heat' as written....just hot enough to taste it but not overpowering...the frozen corn works as the recipe says it does, and when you are ready to serve it, it's as if you are serving a great salad/side in a chilled bowl....I served an assortment "

Reviewed Gold Medal Sizzling Fajitas

Apr 3, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I used chicken...marinade was good and made the chicken stand out from other recipes. Aside from that, this is much an ordinary fajita in terms of filling and toppings... I gave it 5 stars because the chicken was delicious and therefore the rolled fajita was too""

Reviewed Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Apr 3, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

although the recipe is labeled pork tenderloin, it may be better to use a pork roast having the fat tenderloin does not...result using tenderloin was dry with no one asking for seconds""

Reviewed Spring Green Risotto

Apr 3, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

this was not a favorite at all...the overall taste was bland, with a peculiar taste. Constant stirring mushed it a bit, the mascarpone helped but not enough to want to make again. ""

Reviewed Broccoli and Bow Ties

Feb 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

great flavor from the toasted pignoli...next time I would use just a bit less lemon juice than called for but keep the lemon peel - I did add more cooked pasta to cut a bit of the tartness from the juice and it was very good...also grated fresh parmesan on top and it was perfect...red pepper flakes would be nice next time..thought about it but wanted...

Reviewed Parmesan Chicken Sticks

Feb 16, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

these are delicious...I mix half panko with half of the seasoned bread crumbs called for to give extra crispness...also use freshly grated parmesan, a bit more actually than called for, the chicken is so moist with a crunchy coating...I served this with Ina's broccoli/bowtie pasta also from this episode, a great combination well received by my children...

Reviewed Maple and Cayenne Glazed Chicken

Feb 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

this is delicious!...my pickiest eater requests this...make sure to let the syrup thicken..the time it takes that to happen gives the cayenne a chance to blend very well and the syrup has a mild heat - enough to know it's there but not too hot at all...the thicker the syrup the better it will coat the chicken...it's so so good!

The meatballs are sooo good, everyone in my family commented...I did have trouble with the marinara sauce in that it never thickened... I added a 6 oz. can of plain tomato paste and after an hour more of cooking, added another 6 oz. can which helped. Even so, the taste of the sauce was very good.
