Reviewed Spicy Chicken Tenders with Honey-Mustard

Sep 25, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Pretty decent as far as oven fried chicken goes. I notice a lot of folks had problems with the chicken coming out mushy. Try baking the tenders on a wire rack as opposed to directly on the cookie sheet. It will help them crisp up a little more. Also don't bake any longer than 15 minutes or else the chicken will dry out.""

Reviewed Banana Bread

This recipe is easy and produces a bread with lots of flavor. My only caution is I wouldn't cook it for a full hour. I took mine out after 50 minutes and it was already thoroughly done.""

Reviewed Shortbread Cookies

Sep 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is an easy, delicious recipe. I'm not a huge baker, so I don't have all the fancy cookie cutters, I just rolled the shortbread into a log and sliced it into half inch cookies. Came out great and my husband ate half the batch the same day I baked them!!!""

Reviewed Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya

Blech. I don't know if I'm just not a jambalaya person but I followed this recipe to a T and it came out awful. I think it just wasn't suited to my taset, I'm not a huge thyme or oregano person.""

Reviewed Buttermilk Baked Chicken

Fantastic!!! This is the first oven-fried chicken recipe I've tried that doesn't come out mushy and soggy. The buttermilk marinade makes the chicken really juicy and cornflake crust had a nice crunch to it. I think the important thing is baking the chicken on the raised rack. I will add more seasonings next time though, as I like my chicken with ...

Reviewed Coconut Cream Pie

Aug 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a delicious, easy recipe for a custard pie. I have to admit I cheated and used a ready-made graham cracker crust, but the filling is quick to make and so flavorful. I love the Neely's recipes!!!!""

Reviewed Broccoli with Pecan Brown Butter

Aug 3, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is soooo easy and really jazzes up the broccoli. My husband hates broccoli and he had two helpings of this dish. Great recipe for picky eaters.""

Reviewed Gina's Turkey Meatloaf

Jul 30, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Overall this is a good meatloaf recipe. However as mentioned by others, if you are not a fan of blue cheese, you will find the flavor overwhelming. I will make this dish again, but I will cut the amount of blue cheese down or maybe use parmesan as a substitute. The meatloaf does come out really moist though, so this recipe is a keeper."
