This was the first quiche I've ever made, and it turn out fabulous! The crust was flakey and perfect! And the custard absolutely delicious! I added chopped green onions and thyme instead of the nutmeg to make it slightly more savory and it was yummy! I have made this recipe several times and it is fabulous, especially for a group of people. Instead of using a crock pot, I bake it in a slow oven for 4-5 hours (300 degree oven).
